This comprehensive 2 hour course will teach you how to help clients with mobility through good body mechanics. The goal is to keep your clients moving, while keeping them and you safe. Providing both a general understanding of body mechanics as well as specifics on protecting one's body through images, the caregiver will walk away with a strong grasp on body mechanics keeping them and their client safe.

After completing this lesson, the student will be able to identify principles of body mechanics and mobility; know the keys to a maintaining a healthy back; recognize the importance of posture and positioning; use lifts and other assistive devices safely; use positioning devices and avoid restraints; and help a client change positions and move around using safe practices that incorporate an understanding of simple human physiology, range of motion limitations, and basic ambulatory mechanics.
