This 1 hour course will help the caregiver understand the entire digestive process and know what to watch for in clients to ensure good bowel and bladder function, as well as good toileting and incontinence care.
After completing this lesson, the student will be able to: understand the digestive system; assist a client with toileting; prevent toileting accidents; care for skin after toileting; assist clients with special toileting needs; and provide proper elimination and toileting assistance to clients in a manner that respects client dignity.

Sharon Brothers has been involved in education, writing, management and consulting for a wide range of care-related programs and services.
