Care Goals at the End of Life Info:
This 1 hour course focuses on the feelings surrounding death and dying, and how to be able to maintain your ability to continue caring even while those we care for and care about are dying.
After this lesson, the student will have and increased understanding of the issues of coping with the end- of-life emotional challenges and learn how to support staff and providing them with the ethical tools they require to cope under these difficult situations; understand how to address the issues of loss and avoid “burning out;” how to provide care with a human touch and preserving quality of life; and how to say goodbye and work through the grieving process.
