California ARF (Adult Residential Facility) Administrator Initial Certification

An ARF (Adult Residential Facility) is licensed by the Community Care Licensing Division of the State of California Department of Social Services to care for clients between the ages of 18 and 59 (age exceptions can be obtained for older clients).

All ARF facilities must have a certified Administrator who is responsible for managing the overall operations of the facility. An Administrator's responsibilities typically include managing staff, planning client care, monitoring medication management, maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations, and much more.
To become a certified ARF Administrator you must take an approved 35 hour training course and pass a state-proctored exam. Our Department of Social Services-approved course will prepare you not only for the state exam but also for the real-world challenges administrators face. Numerous practice quizzes and test preps will assist you to excel on the state-proctored exam. Course fee includes a complete syllabus with over 250 pages of valuable forms, tools and information to use in your facility. Our experienced instructors encourage student participation so be sure to bring your questions/concerns with you.
Age Restriction: Care and Compliance Group does not limit participation for anyone interested in completing our administrator certification although Title 22 regulation require administrators to be a least 21 years of age to become certified. While you may take our course at any age, you must be at least 21 before you attempt the state exam.
These courses are intended for persons who wish to become certified as an administrator of an Adult Residential Facility in the state of California. You must attend the correct course for the type of facility you wish to operate. This course is for initial ARF Administrator certification only.
